Cozy Coastal Condo

We have been renting a condo in SurfSong for almost 10 years each January to get away from the Canadian Winter. We have stayed in Surf9 now twice and have found it a very nice unit and in a great location. Unfortunately this year, they were working on beach restoration and the electrical and plumbing systems in the building were a challenge at times. Having said this, the owner did give us a discount for the inconvenience which was appreciated. We understand that they did not have any control over the beach restoration but it was like renting a condo on the side of I-5, with the bright lights and noise (usually in the middle of the night). We have already booked a different unit (Surf9 isn’t available) in this building for next year.

We were two couples for a month and although the property management was fantastic, the second bedroom didn’t meet expectations. There is no dresser to put your clothes and having your clothes on the floor in your open suitcase for a month really sucked. There was not enough room to move around with suitcases out. The closet was full of cleaning devices and beach toys so that is not usable in this room either. Would only recommend this place for one couple, the master bedroom is nice but second bedroom is inadequate.

The unit was very clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for visiting our family as well as eating out/retail locations. A faulty toaster was replaced quickly.
It would be useful if payment could be made by bank transfer to avoid exchange rate fees.

Upon arrival at Surf9, it was pouring rain and the code to get into the lock box did not work. Ashley got that straightened out immediately. We also needed a second key to the unit as some of us went golfing and were locked out of the unit. Ashley sorted that out immediately. We did not have any issues other than the master shower having lukewarm water and the other bathroom’s sink draining slowly. But these issues did not bother us. We did want Ashley to know about them. The unit was great and our family had a wonderful holiday. I would definitely recommend Surf Song to anyone who wanted a great getaway from the cold.

Great location, walk to beach was easy. View and having the constant sound of the ocean was AMAZING! Lots of room for our family of 4. Can’t wait to come back!

The beach house was so much more than we expected. It was spacious, clean, well stocked and in such a convenient location. We were very happy.

This was our second time staying in this condo, the bedding has been updated along with some new lighting. The kitchen is a chef kitchen, very nice to work in. Excellent complex with underground parking, walking distance to many restaurants, shops and of course beach! My only real complaint is the patio furniture is old , rusty and the cushions are torn in spots. But we did utilize it everyday. The high top table is nice to have.

Great location with amazing views of the ocean. Easy access to the pool. We've stayed at a number of condos at SurfSong but this was our favorite as it has a more open kitchen and two beds in the guest room for our two kids.

If you love the beach and waves crashing the shoreline, then Solana Beach is an ideal location for your next vacation. The weather is fantastic, the water is warm and everything you need is within walking distance of this unit. We watched amazing sunsets over the ocean from the porch, went to bed and awoke to the sounds of the Pacific, walked the beach, sunbathed and body surfed the constant 5 foots waves. A great vacation!

Great condo and great location. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Also a great location for running along the coast.

The photos don't quite capture how gorgeous this place is. It sits atop bluffs overlooking the ocean, and all one sees is ocean everywhere. You can watch surfers below most of the day. The condo has everything you could want. One of the best vacations of my life!

Stayed for a month in January and we were were pleased with the property, the location and the management team, especially Ashley who was always very prompt in her replies. We love to cook and the kitchen did not disappoint. Everything we needed to make great meals and sunset views/ One thing is the fireplaces tend to give off a gas odor so we didn't get to use as much as we would have.

Loved this property!! In addition to living up to its photos and being super clean, the views are spectacular! We also loved the area and the amenities (i.e., restaurants and stores) close by. Will plan on staying here again when we return!

Fantastic views. Great location. Far enough away from the tourist crowds but close enough to the city to go into town with no issues. Great having the pool, hot tub and tennis courts right there. Gave it a nice resort feel.
